Sustainability does not happen by chance. It must be engineered.

That’s why, this year on Earth Day in April, Engineering faculty members and students, interested people from other University of Maryland schools, and guests from industry and government, will come together for UMERC's Engineering Sustainability Workshop.

The workshop will discuss a range of topics related to this year's theme of Engineering Grid Resliency for a Changing Climate, including microgrid and smart grid technology, climate impacts on our region, and distributed storage and generation technologies.

In conjunction with the workshop, engineering students are invited to enter the video contest. Two winning videos will win a prize and be featured during the workshop -- click here for details.

Visit the UMERC website for the full agenda, check back for updates as April 22nd nears.

Mark your calendars and please RSVP to attend the Sustainability Workshop!
